The new Hinatuan Public Transport Terminal officially opens today. It serves as a hub for buses, jeepneys, vans and other public utility vehicles headed for Mangagoy/Bislig and Butuan.
Vehicles stopping and passengers boarding and alighting from vehicles could be seen today. The terminal, with its space-saving back-to-back exterior design (front-Butuan and back-Mangagoy/Bislig), is aimed to address the transpo congestion problem in the old building with the provision of additional bus lanes, and to ease the burden of the commuting public.
This high-impact infra project is an inititiative of the Local Government Unit of Hinatuan under the administration of Mayor TiTing Garay and Vice Mayor Atty. Tito Canedo III and in keeping with the goal of increasing economic activity and further accelerating the efficiency and competitiveness of the locality.
